Council Consideration of a Resolution Initiating Annexation of a Tract of Land Contiguous to the City of Gillette, Wyoming, Pursuant to W.S. 15-1-403 and 15-1-405, Known as the Kintz Addition, and Establishing a Public Hearing Date of October 6, 2015, for the Annexation Public Hearing.
BACKGROUND:
The City received a petition to Annex 2.81 acres of land from the sole property owner to facilitate development.

The property is generally located south of First Street, north of Second Street, and west of Rohan Avenue. The property is vacant and surrounded by land already within City Limits. This area is a logical extension of the City Limits and will be serviceable. Any future development or construction will be reviewed by the City and meet City standards.

The landowner is requesting zoning of C-O, Office and Institution District. The adopted Comprehensive Plan shows the area as Public Facilities. There is adjacent C-O zoning to the east and the parcel to the south is currently being rezoned to C-O. City Council will make the final zoning determination at the time of annexation.

An Annexation Report will be prepared and distributed in accordance with State Statutes.
