The Warlow Yard Access Road (15EN43) Project, designed by the City of Gillette Engineering Division, includes the reconstruction of 790 LF of the access road into the Warlow Yard off Burma Avenue, the removal of asphalt pavement and culvert, grading dirt to proposed grade, and installation of aggregate base, Portland Cement concrete pavement, valley gutter, and culvert.

Bids were opened at 11:00 A.M., Thursday, July 23, 2015, for the above-referenced project at the office of the City Purchasing Division, Central Warehouse, 800 N. Burma Avenue, Gillette, Wyoming.

Four (4) bids were received:
Powder River Construction, Inc. $336,077.00
S&S Builders, LLC $324,150.00
Melgaard Construction $468,585.50
Simon Contractors $287,610.00

The bids were reviewed by the City of Gillette Engineering Division and it has been determined that Simon Contractors is the lowest qualified bidder. The contract requires the work to be substantially complete in 30 working days and ready for final payment in 40 working days.

The Engineer's Estimate prepared by the City of Gillette Engineering Division for the Warlow Yard Access Road Project was in the amount of $316,950.00. Funding for this project has been allocated from the Warehouse Account #603-25-28-415-70-47510.

I move for the Approval of a Bid Award for the Warlow Yard Access Road Project to Simon Contractors, in the Amount of $287,610.00.
