| Council Consideration of a Professional Services Agreement for Design Associated with the Boxelder Road Enhancements from Emerson Avenue to Hwy 59, with PCA Engineering, Inc., in the Amount of $125,192.00 (1% Project). |
| BACKGROUND: |
|
PCA Engineering, Inc. completed a reconnaissance study of Boxelder Road from 4J Road to Highway 59 in 2013. The focus of the study was to evaluate a five lane roadway and re-alignment of the curves in this section of the road.
The services for this project will include surveying, geotechnical evaluations, and customary engineering design tasks for the reconstruction of Boxelder Road from the west side of Emerson Avenue to approximately 500 feet west of Highway 59.
The services will also include preparation of legal descriptions and exhibits for land acquisitions and design of a permanent traffic signal at the intersection with the K-Mart approach.

| ACTUAL COST VS. BUDGET: |
|
The FY 2016 Budget includes funding for design of this project and for property acquisitions. Funds for the construction of this project will need to be considered in a future fiscal year. Design and construction of the portion between 4J Road and Emerson Avenue will also be considered in a future year.
Funding for this project is included in Account No. 201-10-05-419-70-47401 (Street Enhancements).
