The Raymond Street Improvements Project (15EN42) consisted of the reconstruction of the existing dirt/gravel surfaced road in the Southern Drive Industrial Park. The project consisted of installing 10" of aggregate base over 18" of paved road subgrade processing for a length of approximately 1300 lineal feet. The drainage was improved by removing the existing culverts and adding approximately 340 lineal feet of Arch RCP Culverts with flared end sections. Other improvements included ditch grading, installation of geogrid and separation fabric and the removal and replacement of miscellaneous concrete and asphalt driveways and approaches.

The original construction time for the project was thirty (30) working days to substantial completion and forty (40) days to final completion. There were three (3) days added to the contract for the delays brought upon by the existing gas line needing to be lowered.  Melgaard Construction Company, Inc., completed the project ahead of the scheduled deadline.

The original contract price was in the amount of $301,685.75.

There were two (2) Change Orders on the project resulting in a net increase to the project of $217.00.

Change Order #1 included the exposing of a gas line that was lowered on the project.

Change Order #2 was for the raising of three (3) manholes in the road, excavation and replacement of a damaged water valve, hydrovactoring of 4 water valves which had filled with debris and final quantity adjustments. 

The final price for the project was $301,902.75.
