The City solicited the services of CTA to prepare bidding documents for the City West Remodel Project. The bids were opened on October 22, 2015, as follows:

The Floor Leveling Unit Price will only be used for cost or credit calculations in the event there is more or less floor leveling required than what is included in the bid specifications. After reviewing the bid forms and bid bonds, CTA determined that all bids were turned in on time, acknowledged three Addendums, had the required Bid Bond and included a current Residency Certificate. Norton Construction, Inc. is the apparent low bidder. (See CTA's recommendation letter and Bid Tabulation attached.)

Staff recommends accepting the base bid of Norton Construction, Inc., plus Alternate #1, as follows:

$13,500 Alternate #1
$1,178,500 Total 

A total of $1,728,023 (which included a 15% construction contingency) was approved for this project.

I move for approval to award the bid for the City West Remodel to Norton Construction, Inc. in the amount of $1,178,500.
