Small Business Saturday is an event that drives shoppers to local, independently-owned merchants.

Small Business Saturday is a national initiative that marks a day to support the local businesses that create jobs, boost the economy and preserve neighborhoods around the country.  It has become a nationally celebrated event on the national calendar with support from elected officials, public and private organizations and millions of Facebook users.

NOW, THEREFORE, I Louise Carter-King, by virtue of the authority vested in me by the City of Gillette, County of Campbell, and State of Wyoming, do hereby proclaim November 28, 2015 as Small Business Saturday, and urge the residents of our community, and communities across the country, to support small businesses and merchants on Small Business Saturday and throughout the year.
