| Council Consideration of a Bid Award for Three (3) New 2016 Refuse Trucks to Jack's Truck & Equipment of Gillette, Wyoming, in the Amount of $787,746.00. |
| BACKGROUND: |
|
These are scheduled replacement units for the Solid Waste Division's Units 8, 30, and 136. Jack's Truck & Equipment is the lowest bidder meeting the required specifications. See the bid tabulation on the attached Memorandum.

| ACTUAL COST VS. BUDGET: |
|
These replacement units were approved in the budget as follows: One was approved in FY14, one was approved in FY15, and one was approved in FY16, for a total budget of $728,000. The actual cost of the three trucks is $787,746 ($59,746 over budget). The Fleet Division is delaying the replacement of a fleet tractor in order to cover the additional cost of the replacement refuse trucks, as the maintenance costs on the old units are averaging approximately $40,000 annually.
