The Pavement Management System 2015 Schedule B Project (15EN02) consisted of pavement rehabilitation for a portion of 7th Street (1140 LF) between Gillette Avenue and 4-J Road, a portion of Echeta Road (1625 LF) west of Highway 14/16 for complete reconstruction with concrete pavement, minor asphalt patching on 6th Street between Kendrick Avenue and Highway 59, concrete crack sealing on Slate Street, Sinclair Street, and Burma Avenue.

The contract established 90 working days to Substantial Completion, 20 working days were added for additional work, and 120 days to Final Completion. The Notice to Proceed was issued on June 8, 2015. There were ten adverse weather days encountered. The project was finished on November 9, 2015 which was within the allotted contract time.

The original contract with S&S Builders, LLC was in the amount of $1,013,228.00. There were six (6) change orders. Of the six (6) change orders, five (5) were for the Work Change Directive issued for the additional work on Echeta Road which was paid between five (5) pay requests and also added the twenty (20) days and the other change order was for Final Quantity Adjustments. The change orders increased the contract by $183,520.01, resulting in a final contract price of $1,196,748.01.

Favorable bid pricing allowed the reconstruction of a portion (approximately 1,650 SY) of Echeta Road in lieu of profile milling as originally bid to provide a better overall product. Overall the project was delivered within the construction budget of $1,380,000. 

Funding for this project was allocated from the 1% Optional Sales Tax Account 201-10-05-419-40-44331.
