| Council Consideration for the Acceptance of Public Improvements for the Warlow Yard Access Road Project, Installed by Simon Contractors, in the Amount of $247,534.27. |
| BACKGROUND: |
|
The Warlow Yard Access Road Project included the reconstruction of 2600 SY of rural asphalt section road to 2900 SY of rural concrete section road. The reconstruction started at the tie-in to Burma Road and extended into the Warlow Yard to the existing Portland Cement Concrete pavement. An installation of new culvert was also incorporated into the project.
The project was designed and the construction management was provided by the City of Gillette Engineering Division. Surveying was provided by Morrison-Maierle Inc. and testing was provided by DOWL.
The Notice to Proceed was issued for September 28, 2015 and the Certificate of Final Completion was issued on November 25, 2015 which was within the contract time allotted.
The Affidavit on Behalf of Contractor, the Certificate of Final Completion, and the Warranty are attached for reference.

| ACTUAL COST VS. BUDGET: |
|
The original contract with Simon Contractors was in the amount of $287,610.00. One change order was executed on the project to adjust final quantities for a net decrease to the contract in the amount of $40,075.73. The final contract amount was $247,534.27.
The Engineer's Estimate for the project was in the amount of $316,950.00.
The project was funded from the City Facilities Maintenance Account in the General Fund 603-25-28-415-70-47510.
