Currently, there is no provision in the City Code which would prohibit the sale of alcoholic or malt beverages for delivery within or outside of the City of Gillette. The Wyoming Liquor Division has expressed the opinion that the transaction is allowed under State Law as long as the financial transaction occurs within the confines of the dispensing room. Staff has recommended two (2) minor additions to the City Code to prohibit a retail liquor licensee from causing alcoholic or malt beverages to be delivered, and to prohibit any person from engaging in the business of delivering alcoholic or malt beverages. The proposed ordinance would establish an administrative fee as well as a fine for violation of the ordinance.
