The Downtown Facility Enhancement Project includes the installation of a public restroom at 300 Kendrick Avenue (the southwest corner of Kendrick Avenue and 3rd Street). The project has been divided into two parts to accommodate the lead time for the construction of the restroom structure. The first part is the acquisition of the Restroom Structure, the second is the Site Preparation.
The restroom is a prefabricated, insulated, and heated concrete structure with three toilets, and two sinks in the women's side and two toilets, a urinal, and two sinks on the men's side. Hladky has submitted the Taos structure manufactured by CXT Concrete Buildings.
The site preparation is being designed by HDR Engineering, which includes the construction of the building pad for the restroom structure, installation of water, sewer, and electrical service lines, and reconstruction of the parking lot. We anticipate that portion of the project to be bid in May and awarded early in June.
