Upon completion of the improvements to the Third Street Plaza, the Gillette Main Street Program has offered to assist in the management and calendaring of the events and activities at the Plaza. Main Street, themselves, anticipates using the Plaza many times throughout the year for their promotional activities for the downtown businesses as well as the farmer's market.
If approved, this Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) should provide guidance as to the managing and calendaring of events on the Plaza. Under the terms of the MOU, the Council reserves all authority with regard to functions which would require catering, malt beverage and/or open container permits, those events involving live music, P.A. systems or amplified sound, and street closures.
