As a result of the Boxelder Road Extension Project, from Highway 50 to Overdale Drive (Urban Systems Project), Boxelder Road will enter Overdale Drive at the easterly terminus of Pioneer Avenue. As such, the easterly 150' of Pioneer Avenue will be required to be renamed as West Boxelder Road to ensure continuity and lessen confusion. Currently, there are no properties addressed off of this portion of Pioneer Avenue, and the modification to the street name will be straightforward. Pioneer Avenue will continue to exist in its current form west of Overdale Drive.
