An Ordinance to Enact the Electrical Line Extension Policy for the City of Gillette, to Amend Section 17-67 of the Gillette City Code Concerning the Electrical Line Extension Policy and Repealing Inconsistent Ordinances and Resolutions. |
BACKGROUND: |
Members of the Electrical Services Division have prepared a document, entitled, Electrical Line Extension Policy for the City of Gillette, to combine the Electrical Distribution Standards (Distribution Standards) and the Utility Customer Service Drop Policy (Drop Policy). The Distribution Standards was originally adopted by Gillette in ordinance 1904 in 1993 to establish the "standards for the planning, design and installation of the electric distribution system for the City of Gillette." The Drop Policy was established to provide regulations for customer service drops in resolution 816 in 1994. The Distribution Standards has been amended 5 times and the Drop Policy has been amended twice. |

I move for the Approval of an Ordinance to Enact the Electrical Line Extension Policy for the City of Gillette, to Amend Section 17-67 of the Gillette City Code Concerning the Electrical Line Extension Policy and Repealing Inconsistent Ordinances and Resolutions.
