SUBJECT: |
Council Consideration of a Resolution Adopting the Multi-Jurisdiction Joint Hazard Mitigation Plan for Campbell County, City of Gillette and Town of Wright. |
BACKGROUND: |
Campbell County, the City of Gillette and Town of Wright have fully participated in the FEMA-prescribed mitigation planning process to prepare a Multi-Hazard Mitigation Plan to cover all three entities. An adopted Multi-Hazard Mitigation Plan is required as a condition of future funding for mitigation projects under multiple FEMA pre- and post-disaster mitigation grant programs. The Wyoming Office of Homeland Security and the Federal Emergency Management Agency Region VIII officials have reviewed the “Multi-Jurisdiction Joint Hazard Mitigation Plan for Campbell County, City of Gillette, and Town of Wright”, and approved it contingent upon this official adoption of the participating governing body. |
SUGGESTED MOTION: |
