On December 6, 2016, during a regular meeting of the Gillette City Council, the Council accepted a Residential Curbside Collection and Recycling Agreement (Formerly Known as the "Blue Bag" Program) with Western Waste Solutions, Inc.  The City and Western Waste Solutions, Inc. stipulated in their Agreement that it would not become effective until such time as at least 900 billable customers had registered for the program.

Western Waste Solutions, Inc. seeks to amend the Agreement to alter the effective date to January 3, 2017.  Such an amendment would not require the City to meet the 900 billable customer threshold prior to the Agreement going into effect.  The proposed Amendment alters paragraph 18 of the Agreement for the effective date, and confirms that for all other purposes, the effective date of the Agreement will be January 3, 2017.  There are no other amendments to the Agreement.
