Council Consideration to Authorize the Mayor to Sign a FY 2017 Transportation Alternatives Program Subrecipient Agreement Between the Wyoming Department of Transportation and the City of Gillette for the Dalbey Park to Gillette College Pathway, Phase I Project.
BACKGROUND:
On July 5, 2016, City Council passed a Resolution authorizing the submission of an application for a Transportation Alternatives Program (TAP) grant to WYDOT to construct a new pathway under the bridge on Highway 59 at the Gillette Fishing Lake. This item is the agreement with WYDOT to receive these funds.

The TAP grant is in the amount of $312,000, and the local match is $78,000. The City has set aside sales tax funds of $100,000 in account 201-10-05-419-70-47406 to provide the match and any additional costs that may be incurred. The City is required to expend the funds which will be reimbursed based on invoices provided. 

Construction is planned for late 2017 or early 2018.
ACTUAL COST VS. BUDGET:
The total budget for this project is $412,000, with $312,000 to be reimbursed by the TAP grant. $100,000 will be used from the 1% Optional Sales Tax account.

I move to Authorize the Mayor to Sign a FY 2017 Transportation Alternatives Program Subrecipient Agreement Between the Wyoming Department of Transportation and the City of Gillette for the Dalbey Park to Gillette College Pathway, Phase I Project.
