The Campbell County Fire Station No. 3 project included the construction of:

• a new deep-foundation structural-floor-system building made up of an apparatus bay and living/office space;
• a new concrete parking lot with associated site grading, storage shed, dumpster screen, sidewalks, detention pond, and landscaping;
• a sanitary sewer extension;
• a water main extension/loop; and
• a new concrete street with curb and gutter and sidewalk (Wenger Drive).

The project budget allowed for the inclusion of all alternates for the project (LED lighting, epoxy floor system in the apparatus bay and gear room, wood framed storage shed with concrete foundation, and masonry dumpster enclosure).

The City accepted Hladky Construction, Inc.'s Guaranteed Maximum Price in the amount of $3,583,555.00 and a Notice to Proceed was issued on March 17, 2016.

The project was substantially completed on December 30, 2016, within the time allotted for the project.

The original contract amount for this project was $3,583,555.00 and the final contract amount was $3,069,496.58. The project savings was attributed to a favorable bidding climate.

The total project budget was $3,984,660.00. The total project cost was $3,387,495.05, and is broken down as follows:

• Construction Services -         $3,069,496.58
• Architectural Services -         $298,476.25
• Materials Testing -                 $12,407.50
• Communication Installation - $7,114.72

Funding for this project was provided through the Countywide Consensus Funding Program, held in account 001-10-04-419-90-49002.
