Council Consideration of an Amended Lease Between the City of Gillette and the Gillette Golf and Country Club, Inc., Regarding the Energy Capital Sports Complex.
BACKGROUND:

On August 6, 2012 the City of Gillette and the Gillette Golf and Country Club, Inc. entered into a Lease Agreement providing a 5 year construction period for future development of the golf course on the Energy Capital Sports Complex, followed by an additional 80 year term.  Portions of the Energy Capital Sports Complex have been re-subdivided, and additional acreage has been sought by the Gillette Golf and Country Club, Inc., and previously agreed to by the City. 

 

This Amended Lease revises the leased lands, alters the term of the Lease, provides additional access between the Energy Capital Sports Complex and the proposed practice range.  Additionally, the Amended Lease provides a detailed exhibit regarding future construction of buffer spaces, future pathways, and memorializes access for the City and for the Club.
