The picnic shelter will replace the old shelter that was demolished to make way for the repaving of the parking lot at the Old Fire Station #3.  Old Fire Station #3 will become the Park Maintenance Facility at 800 Edwards Street.

The new picnic shelter will be a clear span 30 by 40 foot structure constructed of a square steel frame and a metal roof system.  The structure will include overhead LED lighting and a power outlet/breaker box at the southwest corner of the structure.  This package provides the shelter materials only.  The structure will be erected in conjunction with the parking lot paving project.  This package is being procured separately to ensure the lead time for the shelter coincides with the paving project.  Elevation drawings of the structure as well as an image of a similar structure are attached.

Two quotes were received by the City of Gillette Purchasing Division on March 27, 2017.  The quote results are as follows:

The original estimate for the structure package was in the amount of $30,000.00.

We have contacted GR Marolt and Associates and verified that they can provide the specified structure for the Quote Amount of $32,280.00.

The funding for this project has been allocated from the 1% Optional Sales Tax Account 201-10-05-419-70-47311.
