The City currently maintains the medians on West Sinclair Street, immediately in front of the Gillette College.  This maintenance includes both irrigation and maintenance of the landscape at these locations.  This Memorandum of Understanding, if approved by the City and the Gillette College, will effectively transfer the irrigation system on this portion of West Sinclair Street to the College for their operation and maintenance.  Additionally, the Memorandum of Understanding provides a means by which the City can separate its irrigation system at this location, and combine the medians with the College's irrigation system.  The City will remain responsible for the actual upkeep of the landscaping at these locations.
