| Council Consideration for the Authorization of the Mayor to Sign an Amendment to the Amended and Restated Generation Dispatch and Energy Management Agreement (the “GDEMA”) Dated September 3, 2014, By and Between Black Hills Power, Inc., and the City of Gillette, Wyoming, to Accommodate the Peaking Power Requirements Through December 2020. |
| BACKGROUND: |
The City is entering into a (4) year agreement for peaking power with Black Hills Energy to replace a yearly peaking power agreement in the GDEMA. This longer term agreement will help the City lock in more favorable pricing than signing new agreements on a yearly basis.
