The Gillette Main Street Committee is requesting a malt beverage permit for their 4th Annual Gillette Brewfest 2017 Event for July 22nd from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. The event will include food vendors, local musicians and craft brewers. The street closure was pre-approved in October 2016.
The event will allow craft brewers from around Wyoming and the surrounding states to promote and serve their microbrew to the public. Because a microbrewery does not have the type of license that allows them to dispense their product outside of their licensed dispensing room, organizations can purchase a malt beverage permit and must purchase the malt beverage from each participating microbrewery vendor prior to the event. Then, the organization can sell tickets to the public that can be presented to the microbrewery vendor for the malt beverage.
The GMS Committee will utilize barricades at the Gillette Avenue intersection of 3rd Street, 3rd Street intersection of alleyway west of Gillette Avenue, and at 3rd Street intersection of Kendrick Avenue. Security detail will be at all four (4) entrances. Wrist bands will be utilized to identify those 21 years of age and older. |
