Kelly Stone, Sunrise Wellness and Recovery, is requesting a street closure for the 3rd Street Plaza, as well as Gillette Avenue from 2nd Street to 4th Street that will include 3rd Street west to the alley for a 4th of July Car Show.

Using the 3rd Street Plaza requires scheduling the event with Gillette Main Street and acquire an insurance certificate in the amount of $500,000. Mr. Stone has completed both.

Because of the 4th of July Parade event on 2nd Street that same morning, Mr. Stone was advised that his original request to close Gillette Ave. from 2nd Street to 4th Street could not be approved as this area will be needed for parade attendees. In the discussion it was suggested that he change the time of his closure request on Gillette Ave to 1:30 p.m. as the parade will be concluded by 1:00 p.m. Mr. Stone agreed.

In a discussion with Mr. Stone on June 5th, PW Director Wilde requested that when he is done with the closure, to move the barricades back. The barricades would be removed the following day by City staff.

All businesses have been notified and have signed the Notification Form regarding the closure.
