SUBJECT:
Council Consideration to Authorize the Mayor to Sign a Dark Fiber IRU Agreement with Advanced Communications Technologies, Inc.
BACKGROUND:
This agreement in conjunction with an agreement with RT Communications, Inc. will establish a fiber optic connection between the City of Gillette's fiber optic network, Neil Simpson II at Wyodak, the Donkey Creek Pump Station and the Pine Ridge Disinfection Facility.
ACTUAL COST VS. BUDGET:

There will be a one time payment for installation and the (20) year IRU fee of $131,460.00. This will be paid for by the Madison project.

There will also be an annual maintenance fee of $4,132.00, covering 20.66 route miles of fiber. This will be paid for from the fiber enterprise fund.
