The Large Asphalt Patch Project consisted of the repair of failed asphalt paving at six different locations.  The locations were; 7th Street near the intersection with Kendrick Avenue, 9th Street between Green Avenue and Highway 59, Brorby Boulevard north of Shoshone Avenue, Railroad Street west of Brooks Avenue, Railroad Street at Bundy Avenue, and Bundy Avenue between Railroad Street and Laramie Street. 

The project removed failed asphalt, repaired the subgrade and placed new asphalt over aggregate base.  The work was performed by S&S Builders, LLC.  The contractor completed the work within the specified contract time.

The funding for this project has been allocated from the 1% Optional Sales Tax Account 201-10-05-419-40-44331.  The current fiscal year has $150,000 budgeted, while we also have $146,500 forwarded from the previous fiscal year, for a budget total of $296,500 for large patch projects.

This project was awarded for $175,770.90.  There was one final deductive change order in the amount of ($12,845.70) resulting in a final contract amount of $162,934.20.

City Engineering anticipates awarding a second large patch project in the spring of 2018, to be budgeted within the constraints of the remaining $133,565.80.
