| Council Consideration for the Acceptance of Public Improvements for the Madison Street Extension, Phase II Project, Installed by DRM, Inc., in the Amount of $133,795.71 (1% Project). |
| BACKGROUND: |
The Madison Street Extension, Phase II project, designed by PCA Engineering, Inc., installed a new street section from the west end of the existing Madison Street (the end of the Madison Street Extension development improvements) to Mitchell Avenue with associated grading. This project connected the street system between Wyoming Avenue and Mitchell Avenue and provided a street light at the intersection of Madison Street and Mitchell Avenue.
The construction management for this project was performed in-house by the Engineering Division. PCA Engineering, Inc. provided testing and surveying services for the project.
The Notice to Proceed was issued for August 30, 2017 and the Certificate of Final Completion was issued for November 9, 2017 which was within the contract time allotted.
The Affidavit on Behalf of Contractor, the Certificate of Final Completion, and the Warranty are attached for reference. |
| ACTUAL COST VS. BUDGET: |
The original contract with DRM, Inc., was in the amount of $150,912.50. One change order was executed on the project for a net decrease to the contract in the amount of $17,116.79. The final contract amount was $133,795.71.
The Engineer's Estimate for the project was in the amount of $135,908.82.
Funding for this project was allocated from the 1% Optional Tax Account #201-10-05-419-70-47402. |
