| Council Consideration of a Bid Award for One (1) New 2018 Ford F550 Extended Cab and Chassis Truck to Fremont Motor Company of Lander, Wyoming, in the Amount of $51,233.30. |
| BACKGROUND: |
| This is a replacement for Unit 4 under Project 18VM03. Unit 4 is a 72 is a 1998 Freightliner used in the Electrical Division. Thunder Basin Ford failed to bid the proper suspension and rear axle ratio requirements and provided an invalid bid. Greiner Motor Company bid a wheelbase 18" shorter than required providing a chassis that would not spport the ALTEC aerial body to be installed. Fremont Motor Company of Lander, Wyoming, was the only bidder that met the required specifications. See the bid tabulation on the attached memo. |
| ACTUAL COST VS. BUDGET: |
| This replacement unit was approved for $112,658.00 in the budget. An additional $33,000.00 was budgeted for an upgrade to a taller model. The total of these is $145,658.00 leaving a shortfall of $5,874.30. This overage or any additional will be covered by Account # 504-70-74-442-70-47510. |
