This project is the last connection included in the first funding package for the Gillette Regional Water Supply Project that will provide a connection immediately adjacent to the new 12" transmission line installed by Redpoint Contracting in 2016, for the Force Road Joint Powers Board, which serves water to the Rocky Point and Sundog subdivisions.  This project will involve the installation of a new precast control building, electrical and mechanical systems, and other pipeline appurtenances necessary to provide this new service connection.

This project was advertised for bid on November 3rd, 10th, and 17th.  A pre-bid meeting was held on November 15th in the City West breakroom.  The City of Gillette Purchasing Division opened bids on November 22nd at 2:30 P.M., at the City Warehouse.  Below is a summary of the five bids received:

DOWL provided bidding phase services for this project, which included a review of the bids.  They discovered the error as noted above, but this error did not change the outcome of the bid.  DOWL has provided the attached recommendation for award to Hot Iron, Inc.

The budget for this project is $350,000.00, which includes engineering, land acquisition, and construction phase inspection services.  The Engineer's estimate for construction at the time of bidding was $252,020.00.  This project is eligible for reimbursement from the WWDC through the 67% grant and the remaining 33% will be paid with Cap Tax.
