Energy Station is requesting a catering permit for July 4th from 11:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. for an outdoor concert that will be located in Energy Station's parking lot. Cattle fencing and tape will be used to contain the area in which the dispensing and consuming of alcohol will take place. Bartenders will be checking ID's and stamps, as well as wrist bands will be used to identify those who are 21 years of age and older. Black Diamond Security will be used for security purposes.
Anticipated occupancy for attending the concert is approximately 400. The Fire Marshall has been contacted for feedback of possible impacts and concerns that the Fire Dept. may have. According to Fire Marshall Acton, the only concern he would have "is how the front parking lots will be closed off. By code, access needs to be provided to the buildings; so if they use movable panels/barriers across the normal property entrances that can quickly be set aside to allow fire apparatus to access the buildings for an emergency, that would work."
Lt. Wasson has reviewed, and approved the applicant's request with the following notation: "potential impact on neighboring residents."
According to the applicant, the vacant lot directly north of Energy Station will be utilized for parking. The applicant has stated that they will seek permission from the property owner to utilize the lot for parking. Also, according to the applicant, Grease Barrel will be closed and used for parking as well. |
