| Council Consideration of an Agreement for Concession Services at the City Pool from May 26, 2018, through June 1, 2018, with Girl Scout Troop 1160. |
| BACKGROUND: |
| During the City Council Pre-Meeting on March 6, City Staff made a presentation regarding the potential to extend the Agreement to provide Concession Services at the City Swimming Pool to Non-Profits for the 2018 Season. The City advertised for Proposals from Non-Profits in the Gillette News Record on March 16, March 23 and March 30. The City received one formal Proposal from Girl Scout Troop 1160. Attached is a copy of their Proposal and a copy of the Agreement. Girl Scout Troop 1160 has agreed to sell concessions at the City Pool during the first week of the season from May 26 through June 1. Although we only received one proposal from one Non-Profit, City Staff did receive multiple inquiries from other Non-Profits requesting interest to provide concession services. In future years, Staff recommends we request proposals from Non-Profits using social media in addition to the formal notice in the Gillette News Record. |
