Council Consideration for the Acceptance of Public Improvements for the Gillette Regional Water Supply Project Phase I District Extensions, Installed by Hot Iron, Inc., in the Amount of $204,581.06. 
BACKGROUND:
This project provides the last of eight connections included under the first phase of the Gillette Regional Water Supply project to the Force Road Joint Powers Board water district.  The Force Road Joint Powers Board provides water service for the Sundog and Rocky Point Subidivisions. This project included a control building to house the water meter, backflow preventer, supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) equipment, and all other necessary valves, piping, and equipment to provide water to this district.
ACTUAL COST VS. BUDGET:

The original contract amount for this project was $201,616.06. There were three change orders for a net added cost to the project of $2,965.00 (1.5% increase).  Below is a summary of these change orders:

Sixty seven percent of the cost of this project was eligible for reimbursement under the grant with the Wyoming Water Development Commission up to the shut off valve downstream of the control building, and totaled $188,624.06 ($126,378.12 reimbursable). The remaining infrastructure downstream of the control valve was not eligible for reimbursement, but was eligible to be paid for by CAP Tax.
