SUBJECT:
Council Consideration of a Professional Services Agreement for Design and Bidding Services Associated with the Roadway Beautification Project, with KLJ Engineering, in the Amount of $13,466.80 (1% Project).
BACKGROUND:

The Roadway Beautification Project (18PK18) includes the beautification of three (3) areas including the intersections of Westover Road and South Burma Avenue, Westover Road and 4-J Road and the east side of North Gurley Avenue between East Lincoln Street and East Warlow Drive. Improvements in these areas include, but are not limited to, the installation of trees, shrubs, and perennial plants, as well as concrete, lighting and fencing improvements.

The Roadway Beautification Project was originally designed in 2016 but was not constructed. This Professional Service Agreement will allow for an update of the design and prepare it for bidding, as well as add the beautification of the North Gurley Avenue area to the project.  This project is intended to be constructed in early 2019.
ACTUAL COST VS. BUDGET:
The funding for this project has been allocated from the 1% Optional Sales Tax Account 201-10-05-419-70-47301 in the amount of $13,466.80.
SUGGESTED MOTION:
I move for Approval of a Professional Services Agreement for Design and Bidding Services Associated with the Roadway Beautification Project, with KLJ Engineering, in the Amount of $13,466.80 (1% Project).
