In 2016, the City of Gillette acquired the PAVER Pavement Management software to aid in the City's pavement management efforts. The PAVER Pavement Management program was initially developed by the Army Corps of Engineer's to manage the military's large pavement asset, primarily airbase runways and taxiways. The basic software and pavement condition analysis methodology has been modified and expanded for use on municipal roadways.
The management tool provides a system to inventory pavement condition, incorporate historical pavement maintenance and construction information, provide an objective and standardized Pavement Condition Index (PCI), predict future pavement performance, and assist in project planning and budgeting.
The PERTAN Group was retained in 2016 to perform the initial pavement condition survey, software setup, and data entry for the implementation of the PAVER Pavement Management software tool.
The work to be performed under this scope of work is as follows:
- Perform the initial pavement condition survey for the recently annexed Antelope Valley and Crestview Subdivisions
- Update work histories to include pavement and utility projects constructed since the 2016 implementation
- Update prediction models
- Run example Maintenance and Repair plans
- Work with Engineering and GIS to create locally indexed Maintenance and Repair cost tables
All this work will be summarized and documented within a final report. |
