| Council Consideration of an Agreement Between the South Douglas Highway Water and Sewer District and the City of Gillette to Provide Sanitary Sewer Locate Services in the Stroup Mobile Home Park. |
| BACKGROUND: |
| The South Douglas Highway Water and Sewer District (SDHWSD) recently transferred ownership of their sanitary sewer system located in Antelope Valley to the City of Gillette after this area was annexed by the City in late 2017. Previously the SDHWSD performed a similar transfer of the sewer system for the Southern Industrial Park after this area was annexed by the City in 2014. Currently, the SDHWSD only owns the remaining sanitary sewer mains located in the Stroup Mobile Home Park, which remains outside the City Limits. Under a separate agreement, the City performs all maintenance for the sewer mains owned by the SDHWSD. However, the City does not perform any of the locates in accordance with the Wyoming One Call Locate Program for the sewer mains in the Stroup MHP. The SDWHSD is requesting the City Utilities Department perform all future sanitary sewer locates in the Stroup MHP. The City will invoice the SDHWSD for this service. Enclosed is an agreement for your consideration. Staff recommends approval. |
| ACTUAL COST VS. BUDGET: |
| The City Utilities Department will invoice the South Douglas Highway Water and Sewer District for all City costs necessary to perform the sanitary sewer locate services within the Stroup Mobile Home Park. Revenue received will be deposited within the Sewer Fund Miscellaneous Revenue budget account. |
