| A Public Hearing Related to the Support on Behalf of the Governing Body of the City of Gillette, Wyoming, for the Campbell County Public Land Board to Submit an Application to the Wyoming Business Council Under the Business Ready Community Grant and Loan Program for a Community Readiness Project for the Purpose of the CAM-PLEX Energy Hall and Heritage Center Renovation and Remodel Project. |
| BACKGROUND: |
| In an effort to secure additional funding sources, staff supports the Campbell County Public Land Board for the grant application to the Wyoming Business Council to fund 50% of the eligible costs for the CAM-PLEX Energy Hall and Heritage Center Renovation and Remodel Project. A full copy of the Campbell County Public Land Board's grant application will be available for review in the City's Finance Department after September 1st. |
| ACTUAL COST VS. BUDGET: |
| The grant request will be in the amount of $3,000,000.00, representing fifty percent (50%) of the project. The City of Gillette will provide matching funds of $1,500,000.00 in collaboration with Campbell County, Wyoming who will also provide matching funds of $1,500,000.00 representing the remaining fifty percent (50%) of the project. The City of Gillette's matching funds will come from a portion of the excess cash from the General Fund Reserves. |
