The Buckskin I&SD, located northeast of the intersection of North Gurley Avenue and Kluver Road, experienced a complete well failure in May, 2018. The City of Gillette has been providing emergency service via a connection to its water distribution system through a fire hydrant connection and temporary line run on the surface to their buried storage tank. This project will provide a new permanent connection to the Gillette Regional Water Supply Project (GRWSP) for the Buckskin I&SD. This project will involve the installation of a new vault, 6" pipeline, and other appurtenances necessary to provide the new service.
The project was advertised for bid on August 24th and 31st. A pre-bid meeting was held on August 29th in the City West Breakroom. The City of Gillette Purchasing Division opened bids on September 6th at 2:00 P.M., at the City Warehouse. Below is a summary of the four bids received:
