| Council Consideration for Concurrence to Award the WYDOT Highway 50 Construction Project and Authorize the Development Services Director to Sign a Letter of Concurrence to WYDOT Upon Review of the Lowest Responsive Bid (1% Project for City Share). |
| BACKGROUND: |
This is a WYDOT improvement project to widen and improve Highway 50 (Skyline Drive) from Lakeway to just south of Southern Drive. The improvements include a pathway as covered in the Cooperative Agreement approved by the City Council and completely executed on August 3, 2017. The improvement includes five (5) lane section with curb, gutter and sidewalk with a 10’ pathway on the east side of the roadway. The project also includes removal and replacement of the traffic signals at Lakeway Road/Highway 50 and 4-J Road, Force Road/Highway 50. The bid for this project takes place on December 5, 2018 and is to be awarded on December 6, 2018 at the Wyoming Transportation Commission meeting. In order to comply with WYDOT’s schedule, the final concurrence documents will be signed by the Development Services Director after staff’s evaluation and submitted for WYDOT’s meeting.

| ACTUAL COST VS. BUDGET: |
Upon entering into the Cooperative Agreement, ARSCT 3.01 0300A03 WYO 50 - Lakeway South Section Campbell County, a Budget Amendment was approved allocating $354,090.00 of 1% sale Tax Funds in Account 201-10-05-419-70-47406 to cover the Agreement. The Concurrence of the Bid will be checked to ensure that the amount awarded is within the Agreement. The letter prepared allows for a cost overrun up to 10% of the Agreement amount. If it does exceed this amount, discussion will take place to cover the amount that is in excess of the budget. The Concurrence does include all costs including the portion covered by WYDOT which will exceed the City portion. |

I move for Approval of the Concurrence to award the WYDOT Highway 50 Construction Project and authorize the Development Services Director to sign a letter of Concurrence to WYDOT upon review of the lowest responsive bid (1% Project for City Share).
