SUBJECT:
Council Consideration of a Bid Award for the Alley Pavement Management System 2019 Project to Mountain Peak Builders, LLC., in the Amount of $81,792.00 (1% Project).
BACKGROUND:
The Alley PMS 2019 Project includes the rehabilitation of the alley surface in the alley between 2nd and 3rd Street and Emerson Avenue and Osborne Avenue  This project will include the removal of the 305 lineal feet of existing alley surface and replacement with a concrete surface. 
ACTUAL COST VS. BUDGET:

Bids were opened and read aloud on February 19, 2019 at the City of Gillette Purchasing Division.  Five (5) bids were received on the project.

The bid results are as follows:

 

Powder River Construction   $122,750.70
S&S Builders   $99,820.00
Van Ewing Construction   $94,410.90
Hladky Construction   $108,308.20
Mountain Peak Builders   $81,792.00

 

The Engineer's estimate, prepared by Inberg-Miller Engineers, was in the amount of $100,833.00

The funding for this project has been allocated from the 1% Optional Sales Tax Account 201-10-05-419-40-44331 in the amount of $160,000.00

It is recommended that the bid in the amount of $81,792.00  be awarded at this time.
SUGGESTED MOTION:
I move for Approval of a Bid Award for the Alley Pavement Management System 2019 to Mountain Peak Builders, LLC., in the Amount of $81,792.00 (1% Project).
