| Council Consideration of Amendment No. 1 to the Project Agreement for the Gillette Regional Extensions - Phase III Project, with the State of Wyoming Water Development Commission (WWDC), to Increase Grant Funding for the Project by $2,391,900.00, or Sixty-Seven Percent (67%) of the Actual Development Costs, Whichever is Less. |
| BACKGROUND: |
The Phase III Project will serve four additional districts in the Designated Service Area: Crestview Improvement Service District (ISD), Freedom Hills ISD, American Road Water & Sewer District, and Meadow Springs ISD. The original agreement appropriated $361,800.00 for the design and right-of-way acquisition for this project. This amendment increases grant funding for the project in the amount of $2,391,900.00 for construction of the improvements and for construction phase services.
Utilities staff will be soliciting Requests for Proposals (RFPs) for Engineering Design Services for this project in the near future. Recommendations for a Professional Services Agreement will be made in upcoming City Council meetings. |
| ACTUAL COST VS. BUDGET: |
The Phase III Budget is $4,110,000.00. The WWDC Grant will cover 67% of this total budget amount, or $2,753,700.00. Cap tax revenue for the District Extensions portion will cover the remaining 33%, or $1,356,300.00. The $4,110,000.00 Phase III amount has been budgeted with this account line item:
