SUBJECT:
Council Consideration of a Bid Award for the Madison Pump Station Roof Replacement Project to Wyoming Roofing, LLC, in the Amount of $91,950.00.
BACKGROUND:
This project is to remove the existing metal pan system and construct a metal standing seam roof replacement for the Madison Pump Station building. Also included is the replacement of the gutters and downspouts, adding snow guards to the roof, and removing two vents through the roof.
ACTUAL COST VS. BUDGET:

CONSTRUCTION ESTIMATE:

The City of Gillette, Purchasing Division, opened bids for the project at the City Warehouse on Tuesday, April 9, 2019 at 2:30 P.M..

The following table summarizes the bids received and the Engineer’s Estimate.

BID IRREGULARITIES: The only bidder on the project was Wyoming Roofing, LLC. Their bid was submitted on time and had the required Bid Bond and acknowledged Addendum #1.

CONSTRUCTION ESTIMATE: The total construction cost for this project was estimated at $122,000.00 and was prepared by Morrison Maierle. The low bid from Wyoming Roofing, LLC. was $91,950.00, approximately 24.6% lower than the Engineer’s Estimate.

Budget: Monies for this project have been budgeted from the Water Fund #503-70-73-441-40-44310  and is fully funded.

Contractor’s Review: Wyoming Roofing, LLC. has no apparent problem with their bid.
