The Campbell County Public Land Board adopted a Resolution during their meeting on December 14, 2023.  Per this Resolution, the Land Board is requesting a Specific Purpose Excise Tax, at a tax rate of 1%, to be placed on the November 2024 General Election ballot for Cam-Plex capital facility improvements in the amount of $207,800,467.

W.S. 39-15-203 (a)(iii)(A) requires the governing body of a county and the governing bodies of at least fifty percent (50%) of the incorporated municipalities within the county shall adopt a resolution approving the proposition, setting forth a procedure for qualification of a ballot question for placement on the ballot and specifying how excess funds shall be expended.

The purpose of this "Ad Hoc" Specific Purpose Excise Tax Ballot Proposition Joint Resolution Committee will be to meet with representatives from the Town of Wright and representatives from Campbell County to develop and finalize a joint resolution which will include the ballot proposition language to be considered by Campbell County voters during a future election.
