SUBJECT:
Council Consideration of a Bid Award for the 2019 New Sidewalks Project to Black Cat Construction, LLC., in the Amount of $58,317.00 (1% Project). 
BACKGROUND:
The 2019 New Sidewalks Project consists of new sidewalks in the Saunders Subdivision that have never been installed. This project will include the construction of new sidewalks in the following areas: Wagonhammer Lane from Flying Circle Drive to 12th Street, 12th Street from Wagonhammer Lane to T-7 Lane and Flying Circle Drive from T-7 Lane to Wagonhammer Lane. 
ACTUAL COST VS. BUDGET:

Bids were opened and read aloud on March 5, 2019 at the City of Gillette Purchasing Division.  Two (2) bids were received on the project.

The bid results are as follows:

 

Black Cat Construction $58,317.00
Wyoming Earthmoving Corporation $93,079.56

 

The Engineer's estimate, prepared by Inberg-Miller Engineers, was in the amount of $112,083.00

The funding for this project has been allocated from the 1% Optional Sales Tax Account 201-10-05-419-40-44331 in the amount of $160,000.00

It is recommended that the bid in the amount of $58,317.00  be awarded at this time.
SUGGESTED MOTION:
I move for approval of a Bid Award for the 2019 New Sidewalks Project to Black Cat Construction LLC., in the Amount of $58,317.00 (1% Project).
