| Council Consideration for the Acceptance of Public Improvements for the Wastewater Treatment Facility Anaerobic Digester Cleaning and Coating Project to R.C.S. Construction, Inc., of Rapid City, South Dakota, in the Amount of $470,737.87. |
| BACKGROUND: |
| This project consisted of painting the steel surfaces of a 60-ft diameter digester at the Wastewater Treatment Facility. This work included the removal of sludge and cleaning of the digester, removal of the existing paint, re-coating the interior and exterior steel surfaces of the digester including all exposed parts and all other appurtenances. Three valve replacements were included while the digesters were out of service. During the course of construction, it was determined that the primary digester lid is beyond its useful service life. Replacement of this lid will be budgeted in FY 20/21. |
| ACTUAL COST VS. BUDGET: |
There were five (5) change orders associated with this project that decreased the contract by $4,800.37, from the original amount of $475,538.24.
